• Client service and satisfaction guaranteed
“Profitability is paramount at Koanui. Our ‘once bred’ yearling heifer policy enables us
to select replacements on fertility, structure, docility, calving ease and importantly, calf
performance. Our breeding philosophy is to maximise selection pressure, selecting for
strong commercially profitable traits. We always stand behind our cattle, and they give
our clients the Koanui difference.” - Chris Chesterman
Introducing new genetics
We’re committed to
genetic improvement.
In 2020 we added leading
genetics from Australia and
Canada to our herd, joining
the likes of Koanui bred herd
sire Koanui Major P469.
190 cows were artificially
inseminated using new
genetics, and five donor dams
Koanui Major P469 - 0216180469 were flushed for embryo
transfer.
