Boehringer Ingelheim World Hereford
Conference 2020
Queenstown NZ
World Hereford Conference
Over the last few weeks, we have received some wonderful
thank you emails from international visitors to the conference, The WHC budget is looking favorable and now the
saying they enjoyed viewing the NZ cattle, scenery and controversial media focus has been lifted from the
experiencing our renowned hospitality. One email which stood conference, it’s time we celebrated some of the lighter
out is from James Ludgate, a UK Youth team member, which moments of the Boehringer Ingelheim World Hereford
we would like to share with you: Conference, with some fun photographs.
It’s been a few months since the WHC...
what unfortunately to us feels like a lifetime!
I wanted to express my utmost gratitude to you guys. To
the organisers, breeders and facilitators ( I understand
that you are one and all) that my time in NZ was without
doubt genuinely the best time of my life bar none. I am
only 27 but I have been fortunate enough to experience
many countries and wonderfully fulfilling scenarios in my
life and it easily topped everything that has gone before.
The young breeders competition is without doubt the
best and toughest test I have ever been lucky enough
to have been involved in. Technically, practically and
theoretically challenging to a wonderful degree. Our main
hosts Rebecca, Hamish and aunty g where completely Fun of giving and receiving country gifts
amazing. They where phenomenal in their roles of taking
care of us. From the most quiet to the loudest (ignorant
person like me) they had time for all of us and didn’t leave
any detail unturned.
I believe in talking to many of my peers from the UK, that
visited the conference, that was the most wonderfully well
supported and conducted world Hereford conference. It
will certainly want some topping. Your country, culture
and cattle are of the upmost quality and also as the
Hereford is well known your people’s disposition is of the
utmost kindness. I did not meet a single kiwi I didn’t get
along with and as you know I can be a bit marmite.
I would really like this message to be passed on to council
from a personal level and team UK Hereford youth, we
would like to thank you for what I’m sure took 1000’s of
hours of work which culminated In a once in a lifetime
experience for us English lot!
I have tried to sum up in words how amazing the trip was,
but hence I have failed as one can’t describe or articulate
what it means to us! It truly was out of this world!
Kia Ora!
