FAY KING
Fay was an integral part of Waiau Herefords as she and
Colin left no stone unturned in their efforts to not only
develop the Lilburn Valley property but also the Hereford SIL
Stud. She was not afraid of hard work, including milking
the cows and breaking in the show teams. She took great
satisfaction when she could groom the show bulls in the
paddock and liked things, particularly her garden picture
perfect. She did all the stud records and converted to
computer recording in her 60’s and would have run rings
around most people far younger, she was always pleased
however to have Linda Shailer on the end of the phone!
Family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were
always important to her.
Fay is survived by Darryl King and Sharon Paterson and
their families.
