                   he success of the inaugural NZ Hereford Youth
                   Development Forum in North Canterbury in April
                   2021 far exceeded expectations.
                   The 18 young Hereford enthusiasts who attended
          Tmade up a fantastic group and a real pleasure to
           get know. A big thank you to the Burrows, Stokes, Molloy, and
           Jeffries families for hosting the event and providing such
           wonderful hospitality.
            The forum started with an informative visit to Xcell
           Breeding Services, followed by a series of workshops that
           included structural assessment, EBVs and using the NZ
           Hereford website and Internet Solutions to find animals
           and their information, public speaking, NZ Herefords,
           DNA, careers, animal health, using technology on farm,   Champion judge was Ella McWilliam, pictured with NZH board
           photography, marketing and social media. Participants also   member and chair of Hereford Youth, Eileen McWilliam. Eileen is

           awarded to an outstanding participant. Ella McWilliam was the
 CONTACT: Chris & Amanda Jeffries  champion judge, reserve champion was Hillary Cooper, and
           Meadow Brighouse-Ward was highly commended.
