seminar on the worm lifecycle and parasite control from
Matt Lawrey at Boehringer Ingelheim. This was followed by
a careers panel organised by Sam Tipping, featuring three

Overall, the first NZ Hereford Youth Development Forum
was a great success. As a competitor, I know I can speak on
behalf of myself and others when I say the knowledge and
connections I gained over the weekend were invaluable.
It was awesome to see plenty of the younger generation
showing their passion for agriculture in New Zealand and
becoming more involved. I would like to thank Becs for the
time and effort she put into planning the weekend, as well
as the owners of the studs we visited and everyone else who
contributed by holding seminars and helping to organise
and educate us. I look forward to participating in more
events like this and watching Hereford Youth expand in size
over the next few years in the lead-up to the World Hereford
Conference in Kansas.
