HURSTPIER HEREFORDS
Joanna and Rodney Jupp are excited about their return to Hereford Stud breeding
after a 15-year gap. Beginning the year with the purchase of the top priced in-
calf heifer for 2017 from Bexely Station for $7500, Rodney then followed this
up with a Taranaki record highest priced bull (Tawanui Ace), purchased from
Tawanui Herefords (Janelle and Lance Downs) for $13,500.
In October Rodney hosted a combined sale with Hurstpier, Horizon and Huirangi
Herefords, comprising 55 2-year and 1-year-old Hereford service bulls. 2017 was
an exciting year for Hurstpier Herefords and they are certain that 2018 is going to be
even better.
