into large hill country crossbred Hereford cow herds and the Te
Taumata breeding programme reflects this focus on commercial
beef production. The family focuses on profitable, performance
genetics with maternal ability, constitution/doing ability, carcass
quality, structural soundness and longevity as cornerstones. Te
Taumata bulls are hard at work throughout New Zealand from
the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island in
both commercial and purebred breeding programmes.
