The conference week is filled with informative and interesting
talks, along with several social events including the Rabobank
welcome reception, the PGG Wrightson gala dinner at Walter
Peak Station, and the Allflex BBQ at Earnscleugh. The final day
of the conference will be spent at the Wanaka Show where
Hereford is the feature breed. It is also the culmination of the
Young Breeders competition.
A World Hereford Conference (WHC) would not be complete
without stud tours. For the 18 WHC, NZHA has provided the
th
opportunity to attend four stud tours for those with time and
stamina. The ‘Get over your jetlag Northland tour’ and the
‘Kaikoura extension tour’ are smaller bespoke tours, each
visiting three studs and some outstanding New Zealand scenery.
The pre-conference tour visits seven studs in the North
Island as the coaches make their way from Auckland to
