They are no strangers to bidding for the stud bulls they
want and have paid top Hereford prices in the past – Bexley
and Kairuru Niceguy for a combined total of $20,000 in 2018,
Glenbrae LeRoy for $14,000 in 2017, Kairuru Lasso for $20,000
in 2016, Glenbrae Judas for $30,000 in 2015, and Waikaka
Skytower for the third-top price of $33,000 in 2014.
Peter is also a director of Gisborne Holdings Ltd, which is
owned by the Gisborne District Council. Amongst other things,
GHL is responsible for Tauwhareparae Farms Ltd, which winters
62,000su on 6500ha (effective).
At the award field day, Christine said it was a lovely
opportunity for the family to showcase Mokairau.
