The open day at the grazing unit was once again a highlight.
Fortunately the weather played ball, despite storms in the
Manawatu both before and after Expo. Richard and Margaret
Brown’s Kiwitea farm Banklea proved to be a fabulous venue,
with the laneway providing a suitable bull walk.
Once again Chris Douglas was compere and gave attendees
an insight into each sire’s pedigree.
Lunch was a team effort between Hereford Prime (HP) and
NZHA, with a fabulous auction held by HP. Everyone commented
that they had an enjoyable time at grazing unit and, judging by
the lack of leftovers, they clearly enjoyed their lunch. Paul Scott, Matatoki Stud, with their Supreme Champion Hereford
