The Taranaki Hereford Breeders Association would like to invite you to join us in Taranaki for the 2017 National Herd Tour.
 
We have put together a tour which combines a showcase of quality cattle, picturesque landscape and a relaxed itinerary; enabling people to sample local cuisine and all our area has to offer to go home feeling rejuvenated and relaxed with fond memories and new friendships.

  1. Aotuhia Station depart around 1.45 pm.

Aotuhia station is an iconic hill country station located east of Stratford. It was once home to 26 families who all walked off the land in the great depression. In 2004 Lloyd and Lance Downs (twin boys of Kevin and Jean) left school at age 14 to manage the station. Aotuhia Station is now owned by Lloyd, Lance and Janelle who continue to operate the station in conjunction with their Strathmore and Pukengahu farms. This trip will encompass a short farm tour including the bridge to somewhere, mainly Angus and some crossbred cattle, sprayed, burnt and renewed pasture, Toko pub for light snacks and a drink on the way home.
  1. Departing at 1.45 and arriving back at the hotel around 2.45 for your own free choice evening to relax, shop or explore New Plymouth at your own personal leisure.

Estimated time of arrival back from the Pampering is 5 oclock and Aotuhia is 7 o’clock
