Mokairau is situated on the East Coast of the North Island in New Zealand. 40 ks North of Gisborne on the Pacific Highway (State Highway 35) and 15 ks South of Tolaga Bay. About 30 minutes drive from Gisborne City.

Mokairau comprises of 989ha of coastal hill country with and average yearly rainfall 1400mls.

We specialise in grass fed Stud Cattle, sheep and deer. We can claim to be the first Hereford Stud in the world to receive the light of a new day.

You are welcome to come and visit our stunning Eastland environment. The red flowers of the pohutukawa trees are lining the highway, our beaches are uncluttered and sun drenched, there is prime fresh and salt water fishing and the smell of large tracts of native trees take you back to a time once forgotten. The East Coast is a land of opportunity with a strong tradition in pastoral farming. New knowledge and methods ensure the district remains home to some of New Zealand's finest cattle. We have an abundance of the best wines, cheeses, meat, seafood, fruit, vegetables and of coarse Hereford cattle that you will want to see!
